Built so only you can open it
Your documents are encrypted in your browser before they ever reach our servers. We cannot read the photos or sensitive details — and no AI looks at them either.
End-to-end encryption
Photos, holder name, document number and country are encrypted with AES-GCM-256 inside your browser. The server only stores ciphertext.
Only you hold the keys
Your vault opens with a passphrase only you know. The decryption key never leaves your device in the clear — we cannot unlock it for you.
Passphrase on any device
Your key also exists as a copy sealed by a passphrase only you know, so a new phone can open your vault. We never receive the passphrase or the key itself, so we cannot reset it.
Recovery key backup
If you lose your passphrase, a DPCK recovery key is the only way back in. Store it somewhere safe — we do not keep a copy and cannot reset or recover it for you.
No document recognition
There is no AI scanning, OCR or document recognition anywhere in DocsPocket. You type every detail yourself — nothing is read, extracted or analysed from your photos by anyone or anything.

Questions
Who can see my documents?
Only you. Photos and sensitive details are encrypted in your browser before they reach us, and only your device or recovery key can decrypt them. Not even DocsPocket can read them.
Which documents can I store?
Passports, national ID cards, driving licences, residence permits, visas and anything else with an expiry date.
Does DocsPocket scan or read my documents?
No. There is no document recognition, OCR or AI of any kind. Photos are encrypted on your device and you enter every detail by hand — nothing is ever read or analysed.
What happens if I forget my passphrase and recovery key?
We cannot reset them. Because your encryption key is created on your device and never sent to us, DocsPocket has no way to unlock your vault. Your encrypted files stay on the server but become unreadable without your passphrase or recovery key.
What happens after a year?
Paid plans last exactly one year. From 20 days before the end date you get a reminder to renew.
Can I install DocsPocket as an app on my phone?
Yes. DocsPocket is a Progressive Web App (PWA): open it in Safari or Chrome, choose “Add to Home Screen”, and it launches full-screen from its own DocsPocket icon — no app store, no download over 1 MB, and it always runs the latest version.
Why is the price in my currency?
The yearly price is converted from USD into your local currency based on where you're browsing from. Up to 18 documents cost 2.37 USD a year, and up to 50 documents cost 9.99 USD a year.
